- Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon was the highest scoring wine on Mary's list, and we found it at Trader Joe's! It was slightly more expensive there - running us about $10. But we definitely found it worth it.
The main word we kept using to describe this red wine was "velvety." It was smooth and rich and full of fruit. As Mary mentions, we found notes of cherry and vanilla, with more than a hint of spiciness. It was delicious straight out of the bottle - easy to drink and smooth going down.
We actually found it just as good if not better the next evening. The leftovers had expanded and softened and we found them just as delicious as wine fresh from the newly opened bottle.
Highly recommended - thank you Mary for the tip!
- Comments: Brilliant ruby red colour. An intense bouquet developed through a combination of mature red fruits and plums and vanilla tones with a fine toast from the barrels. Medium body, a fine structure and a nice ending characterise this wine.
