- Review: Bianchi Lacrado is a wine of intense ruby red color, with robust intensity and a great, perfume-like nose. The palate is velvetysmooth, with a complex array of flavors. It has a medium-long, satisfying finish.
- Comments: Winemaker’s Notes: The grapes come primarily from Valentin Bianchi’s Finca Asti Estate, Doña Elsa Estate, and the Las Parades Estate, situated in Rama Caíida, San Rafael, Mendoza, between 730 to 760 meters above sea level. One of the coolest areas in San Raphael, the soil in Rama Caída is of sandy calcareous composition and alluvial origins. Picked by hand, the grapes go through classical crushing and fermenting, with periodic pumpover and maceration on skin for three weeks. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, filtered and bottled.
